A Quick Housekeeping Note

Sadly, there are people who travel on the Internet who find some sort of satisfaction from doing not-so-nice things to people’s web sites. I have been a victim of some of these people. In an effort to reduce the amount of mischief created by these ill-doers I must close-off comments on my site to visitors.
That means if you want to leave a comment, you must first register at my site with your real email address. I promise not to sell or give your information away and I promise I will only contact you when I have something awesome to tell you.

Thanks for your understanding. -Annie

Comments from the website —
Anne Howe’s website — on the topic of downshifting
I wrote a potential obituary for myself, if I don’t get a hold on my fabric stash, I might be in danger of this consequence:

Woman Suffocates Under Clutter

A California woman who was reported missing was later found deceased, apparently suffocated by her quilting stash, police said.
Officers found the body of Annie Smith, who looked remarkably young despite her advancing age, buried under a mountainous proportion of folded fabric.
Her husband had reported her missing after he couldn

Guy and I talk all about “To Stash, or not to Stash”… that is the question. Reasons to and not to, unloading your mountain o’ fabric, and more — we had lots of fun!

oops! I forgot to add the pictures of my quilting stash when I first posted this blog… here goes!

Here is my main stash, out in the garage because I don’t have room for it in the house. You can’t see it all the way down to the floor, but there are 84 boxes of stash.

This is my “inside” stash — the Ikea shelving unit that I talked about in the podcast where I described my quilting studio. Some of the buckets are missing because I needed them to display Quilt Journals at a quilt show. I need to take a better pciture of this : p

The smallest quilting stash in the world belongs to my niece, Beth. This is it! Can you imagine your stash fitting on a table top with room to work on a project?! I think I need to help her out with some of my stash… what do you think?

Happy Quilting!
