  1. I love this interview with Terri- I think I montioned I read her book as soon as you introduced it. I must say I’ve been disapointed with other quilt mysteries. It must be the sence of knowing the subject. I’m always racing through to find the quilt references and then they lack substance.(I’d rather read a good old fashioned Agatha Christie instead.) But Terri’s Wild Goose Chase is all the right stuff- in my opinion. Can’t wait for more.

BTW Annie- About your ‘van blocks’ from a weeks back. The pattern typically called 54-40 or Fight- I wish I remembered the reference to the name…? Is very similar to a block Kay England does she named Titanic. If you replace the corner 4 patches with half sqaures then straight set them. The result is an unduation such as Storm At Sea. I caught the first part of the the Tiatanic movie last night. The grand staircase floor tiles are black, set in a white background that make them float. Check it out. I thought it was cool.

  2. I was finishing up a project while I listened to this interview. It kept my mind off of French knots. *S*

I’d love to win the copy of the book. *fingers crossed*

  3. oooooh another book podcast! Downloading now… I can’t wait to listen! The last one was fabulous & I know this one will be too. Adding the books to my booklist. Yippee!

  4. Love your podcast. As I mentioned in my last comment, I am listening while hand quilting a queen size scrap log cabin that must be finished for a wedding shower on June 7. Nothing like a little pressure! It is going well, thanks to being able to listen & learn. I normally listen to books on tape or CD. This is a wonderful change of pace. The audio books are not about quilting. I am currently reading (in between quilting) Jennifer Chiaverini’s “The New Year’s Quilt.” Thanks for the entertainment & imparted knowledge!

  5. Oooh! I just love a good murder mystery! Will Terri’s detective give Benni Harper (another QD) a run for her money?! Quilting and stamping…can stitching and knitting be far behind?! I promise to stay tuned to find out whodunnit and more!

  6. In the podcast you mentioned good books. I have loved Nancy E Turner’s books. They are fantastic! These is My Words, Sarah’s Quilt, and The Star Garden present an amazing heroine, Sarah Prine. They are set in the Arizona Territory and all have a quilt mentioned. Also any book by Sandra Dallas.

  7. Annie is the best interviewer! Ever! We’d only met that day, although you’d never know it. She put me at ease and asked interesting questions, so it was a breeze talking to her. I had a blast.

I love Sandra Dallas, too. And Joshilyn Jackson. I’m saving that interview for after my writing session today.

    Thanks, Annie.

  8. I truly enjoy fiction with needlework, quilting, or crafts worked in so it looks like I’m going to have to spend more money to get some more books! Thanks for letting us know about Terri’s books!

  9. Yikes! Another podcast about books… I just received MY copy of “Twilight” today! I loved your previous podcast and since you so highly recommended Twilight – I ordered it,, and now my dilemna is do I open it and take a peek, or do I turn on my sewing machine? or do I listen to the new podcast, hmmm… I can do but is there a way to do all three?

Thanks Annie, you are the BEST interviewer!

  10. Great podcast – I am a new listener (thanks to The Quilt Show) and have really been enjoying them. Love to quilt, love to read so the last two podcasts have been right up my alley. We’re currently traveling so when I get tired of listening to my husband talk radio – I have your wonderful podcasts to listen to. I’ll be looking forward to reading Terri’s books. Thanks!!

  11. Me again, Listening to your podcast won the “what should I do now” dilemna 🙂

Another wonderful interview, well if I don’t win Terri’s book – I will just have to add it to my wish list 🙂

  14. Can not wait to buy Wild Goose Chase. I have read all the available quilting storys. Glad she wrote a new one

  15. I would love to have the chance of reading a new to me author who combines quilting and mysteries 🙂

  16. I enjoyed the interview with Teri and will get a copy of her book.
Have you read the book by Judith Pella “Bachelors Puzzle”? It is not a mystery but has a quilt group as part of the story. Judy has a second book coming out soon with another quilt related story.

  17. Put my name in the hat, Annie! I just finished Wild Goose Chase, and enjoyed it thoroughly!

  18. I know Terri so I was thrilled to listen to your podcast with her. I have just started listening and am really enjoying your work. I wanted to recommend Goodreads.com for your lists of books. It is a great way to keep track of what you think about books you have read, books you would like to read and to know what your friends are reading. I believe they have a widget that you can put on your website as well. Thanks and take care!

  19. Love your podcasts!!! I listen while I sew. I also love to read. Just finished Jennifer Chiaverini’s “The Quilter’s Homecoming”. Now you have given me a list of “must read” books.

  20. I just discovered your podcast and downloaded the most recent one. I am loving it… quilts and reading, my two favorite things! Thanks for the great show and the opportunity to win what sounds like a wonderful book!

  21. Thank you for these podcasts on quilt/craft related fiction books. I love to read almost as much as I love to quilt and the two together is just perfect. Thanks to you I’ve found more authors to add to my list.

  22. I loved the interview and can’t wait to get the book! I though it was one I had a hard time getting into but I’m mistaken :0) Sounds like a great read! I’ll get to that after the twilight series 😉 Going to have to get the kids to the beach just so I can read!!!! Keep up the great pod-casts!!!

  23. I’m a new podcast listener, but am loving catching up on your podcasts. You are my sewing buddy – and I loved listening on my 18 hour road trip I took. Thanks for recommending fiction books that involve quilting. I also love to ready, and don’t think I would have run across, but I’ll be checking for them.
