Recently, Annie’s Quilting Stash has come under attack by people outside of the quilting community maliciously (and automatically) posting random comments or promoting commercial services to our blog.
Because we don’t want to expose you to these often terrible promotions, we are turning comments OFF on all of our current postings. This has been a tough decision for us but with the amount and frequency of the recent spam attacks to our site, we are forced to take this action.
Many of you bloggers have suggested ways to prevent spam on blogs including using a CAPTCHA tool to our blog entry system. Thanks for your suggestions. We are looking into many possible methods (including CAPTCHA) to reduce or remove spam in our blogs so we can turn commenting back on again.
