Okay so what’s included in the Lecture/Trunk show?
I will share a slide show called How Technology is Changing the Way We Quilt, along with a trunk show of quilts, a book signing and a Q&A. The program is 90 minutes.
I’ve heard of the COLOR SENSE workshop, but what is it and why is it two days?
My COLOR SENSE workshop is the most important class you will ever take.
The first day is a No-sew workshop where we will play with fabric, using hands-on demos. We’ll discuss what COLOR means to us, how it relates to our fabric choices, color trends and how they effect us, and we’ll create a resource book that you’ll take home with paste-up pages and recipes for future use. I’ll also help you choose ten fat quarters for a magical quilt that we’ll make on day two.
The second day, we’ll design blocks, learn precision piecing using one important little notion and create beautiful blocks for a very unique quilt that can’t be duplicated. I reveal every secret and trick that I use for my quilts and in every class that I teach. Here’s a little preview: everyone has a seam ripper in their basic notions kit — but only I can use the seam ripper in the classroom. If you have something that needs to be “unsewn”, I will do it for you while you continue to work. For real!
