No one has called and left a quilt story on my Skype line… yet.

Not interested in telling a story that can be used for a podcast, and have a chance to win a copy of Quilt Album software?

Really?
The number to call is 408-849-4882… call any time.
okay – p.s. Thanks to Jennifer for letting me know that there was something wrong with my phone number!! It’s working now… she says with a very red face.
So call me, okay??!!
You have until Friday, April 29th at midnight (pacific) to leave a voicemail.
I’ll draw the winner before I board my train to Salt Lake City for the HMQS show and Quilt Market (Here I come!!)

I would love to support you but I don’t have anything interesting to say.
I just tried calling but the number isn’t working. I got a recording that the number is incorrect.
Thank you, Jennifer! It’s okay now, so call me back ; )
I’ve given it thought and just really couldn’t come with anything all that interesting – lol! How long do we have to “leave a story” – I’ll keep thinking?!
Some quilters might not have access to high speed internet or a Tech Guy that can set up SKYPE which from what I understand uses a lot of bandwidth.
In rural areas UNLESS you pay premium prices over $125- to $150 / month to get high speed with no restrictions on bandwidth. Even then those services are few and far between; you need to live near a bigger city.
The best internet service I can get limits downloads to less then 100MB a day. If I exceed that even inadvertently my speed for surfing and downloading goes to less service than dial up.
thanks for the info. Actually to leave me a story, all you have to do is call me. my phone number is a Skype number, but it acts like every other phone number. You’ll hear a message from me, a beep and then you can begin talking.
I know that there are quilters out there who have spotty coverage– I was hoping when I started podcasting that it would get better. After six years, apparently not. : (
Ok, I left my story. It isn’t a very long story and some of it is about how he quilt was made because that is part of the story. Sorry about the barking dogs in the background. They were being quiet in the end… then the school bus drove through the neighborhood and it always gets them going.
Anyway, I forgot to leave info on how to get in touch with me in case you needed to on the message. So sorry about that.
Jen
Hi Annie,
I called and left a couple of stories that i had been promising you. Hopefully you can make sense of them, since its really late on the east coast now!… (but still before midnight pacific I think). I have heard about the Quilt Album software and I’d like to give it a try … I value the the stories of my quilts [that happens when your mom is a historian] and anything that may make it easier to save the stories is definitely worth checking out.
