Hey Quilters —
In keeping with the Give-Away-A-Day tradition, I have something else to talk about today.
I have been deluged with email and requests for when the Quilting Stash Classroom will be open for business again. You see, it suffered along with my absence and we had a lot of this:
to do…
Now, the Classroom is
!!
And, two classes are available!
Just in case you’ve forgotten…
Both classes are Sampler quilts. The first one is a great class for beginners, those who want to brush up on their skills and learn some new techniques, or make a sampler. it is truly a sampler of techniques — both hand and machine. Class begins May 14th.
Here’s the quilt for QuiltMaking 101:
The class is ten lessons and you can login whenever it’s convenient for YOU, as is the case with all my classes. I want to make it easy for you.
Here is the Quilter’s Palette:
This class is 11 lessons. It’s a sampler of machine techniques, and is the next “step” after QuiltMaking 101, if you’ve already taken that class with me. There are no prerequisites for this class, except that you have to be a confident beginner. Some of the blocks look really simple, (and they start out that way…) but they can be deceivingly simple too ; ) Class begins May 1st.
So….

on over to the Classroom site (click on the word CLASSROOM at the top of this blog page) and have a
Both of the classes come with
LIVE online chat sessions where you can meet the other students and I can answer your questions in real time and demo anything you need to see again.
The Give-Away for today…?
Yep, you guessed it…
another opportunity to win a seat in the online class, and YOU get to pick which one you want. Here’s another idea — if you can’t take the class, or have already taken it, you can name someone else to gift it to…
So, when you comment, please let me know which class you would like – if chosen, and if you’d like to gift it – who the person is that you’ll gift it to, and why. The winner will be drawn at midnight, April 12th — today, so don’t delay!
I hope you’ll join us in the classroom!! It’s loads of fun — and it doesn’t make any difference where you live! The first time I ever ran the class, I had 8 students from outside the U.S. — and the majority of students didn’t have a quilt shop within 1-2 hours from their homes, so never had the chance to take a quilt class.
Online classes just make sense.
And, it’s the only place you’ll be able to take the Quilter’s Palette — it’s not available in pattern, book or quilt shop format.

Oooh! I’d love to win the Quilter’s Palette class! I have been dreaming about doing that in turquoises and greens.
Wow! I’d love to win the Quilter’s Palette class because I’m desperate to learn applique.
I would love to be able to give Quilt Making 101 to my daughter (Shannon). She is fairly new at quilting and trying to learn all that she can. I can’t think of a better teacher for her to learn with. You Rock Annie!
Wow! What a great offer. I think I’d pick the Quilter’s Palette class to get a variety of machine techniques.
I really like the idea of a class that doesn’t have a strict schedule to each lesson. I work part-time and homeschool full-time, and my husband has his own business so he may or may not be available to watch the kids on any given evening or time. It makes taking class a real challenge. What a wonderful idea.
If selected, I’d be interested in the Quilters Palette class, and I would be selfish and take it myself!
Oh my, I remember when you first showed the Quilter’s Palette, I sat there for a few minutes just staring at it. It really is absolutely beautiful!
I’m in need of a challenging quilt that I can complete & enter in our next quilt show (giving you credit for the design/pattern/class, of course). Hope I win!

I’m so happy to see you are posting again! I’d love to win your Quilter’s Palette class. It looks like a challenging quilt.
Annie, I’m almost finished quilting my quilt from your QuiltingMaking 101 class. Just one more side of the outer border to quilt. I will send you a photo when it is finished.
Hello again Annie, I just listened to the podcast that goes with this blog post. I commented earlier, right away, after reading the blog because I was so excited about the Quilter’s Palette giveaway.
Then this afternoon when I listened to the podcast I realized that you had asked us to tell you what we learned while listening to the podcast. I learned so much about YOU. I’m a very long time listener & I don’t recall ever hearing how it all started for you. I think you may have told us bits & pieces here & there but it was wonderful to hear you tell how quilting became such a huge part of your life. Hope to see you in the classroom:)

I’m so glad you are getting lots of demand for your classes. These days we all need good value for our money- you have done it with your online classes. I know I learned a lot from watching Noah take the Quilter’s palette.
Hi Annie! Just got your beautiful applique book in the mail and am enjoying just looking through it! Thanks for an informative, and entertaining podcast for all quilters who crave constant quilting inspiration…..would love to win the Quilter’s palette class for the chance to learn even more from you!
From Diana Dole:
Hi Annie!
Your class Exploring Fabric Choices was my first ever Quilt class at Eddies. What a great class as a first class! And what a great teacher you are!
I just finished listening to my first ever Podcast. Wow! That is pretty cool. I would say I learned that I need to allow myself to dream. I get so busy with life that I don’t stop to dream. I’m happy that your dreams ARE coming true.
I look forward to taking one of your online classes. The Quilters Palette is my first choice.
Hi Annie,
I took your 101 class previously and loved it! I have tried to post a comment on several of the blog posts the past few days and it keeps giving me “Error – must enter a valid email address”. My email has 2 DOTS in it and I wonder if that is the problem. Just thought I would pass this along so you can have WebGuy possibly check it out. I made sure all of the fields were completed and tried several times.
I would love to be entered into the giveaway. The Quilters Palette would be a great next step for me. I’m loving all of the new podcasts.

Sorry about the problem with making COMMENTS. Please look at the screen shot above and see how you need to fill out the lines. The lines are slightly above the designation, so the TOP line wants your name, the SECOND line wants your email address and the THIRD line wants your website, if you have one.
It’s a blog software thing. Technology!! : p
Happy Days! Annie is back! You don’t need to change a thing, your podcasts are the best! Missed you, I tried other podcasts but no one has the warmth and spirit that comes from your podcasts.

Annie,
I was DELIGHTED to find TWO new podcasts when I synced (sunk?) my iPhone today! Glad you’re back….you keep me company when I’m quilting.

I just tried to post a comment today, but it keeps telling me the email address is invaied. Thought I’d send you my comment this way.
Annie, I’m so glad you are back podcasting! I really loved the interview today, too. I really am fascinated by art quilts, but am more of a “follow the directions” kind of quilting so looking art quilts is fascinating. I’m so happy to have found so many art quilters’ blogs. I’ve already added them to my RSS feed.

I can vouch for the Quilter’s Palette class – I loved it and love my resulting quilt – I even made a “matching” bench pad for my hallway where the quilt hangs. I learned so much from that class – and I enjoyed your teaching videos and live chats very much. I doubt I could do the QM 101 (will be away late May) but am sure I could find someone to gift it to! My dream would be to actually meet you someday – and maybe take a retreat you’re doing – and get your book personally signed!
Thank you, Gloria — I’m glad that you’re enjoying the book!
Thank you, Debby — it’s so great to hear from you!!
Virlinda!! It’s SO good to hear from you!! I can’t wait to see the picture of your quilt. I’m sure it’s beautiful!!
Hi Jonan — i’m coming to Utah for HMQS. Hope to see you!!
Annie, I’m so happy to hear you back “on the air”. I’ve enjoyed your podcast since I discovered it shortly after getting my first iPod several years ago. Your interview you mentioned with Joe Cunningham when you had to take Robin seems so long ago! I love the shows when you review products, love the interviews, and love the book reviews. I’m debating taking your QP class. I’ve done some Quilt University classes (also online) and enjoyed the process, so imagine that a longer class will be even better.
