We really enjoyed your visit to the El Camino Quilters Guild in Vista and it was nice for you to mention us and our lovely quilt shops in this podcast. Since your visit, I have listened to several of your pod casts and have really learned a lot from them. I have only been quilting for a few years so much of what you talk about is very educational for me. I think I am part of a huge group that is grateful to you for sharing all of the knowledge and information that comes from you and all of the quilt teachers and of course we are grateful that they are willing to share with us part of their lives.

Hi Annie! *So* good to hear you back on the air — and what a busy few months you’ve had! Also great to hear you speak of TAS (The Applique Society). I am the current Chapter Leader of the Wild Rose Stitchers Chapter in Cochrane, Alberta, near Calgary. Kathy D, whom you met at the Academy, remains a member, since she used to live in Calgary (her hubby played football with our Stampeders!). Our TAS Chapter has been busy organizing an exhibit — “The Joy of Applique — with work from TAS members all across Canada. This exhibit is one of over a dozen featured at Canada’a *major* quilt show, Quilt Canada 2010, which runs in Calgary from April 26 through May 1. Wish you could come up and see all the wonderful quilts! In addition to 51 in our TAS exhbite, there is the National Juried Show, and many exhibits of art quilts, traditional quilts, and antique and vintage quilts. We’d love to see you there! 🙂
I was so glad to see that you had a new podcast – missed you. I really enjoy hearing about the different quilt stores that you have been to as we do alot of RV traveling and I take the “Quilt Companion” book with me to check out any stores in our visiting area.
I have finished the Quilter’s Pallet from your 1st online class – my friends are so impressed!
