Quilting Stash Program #22 — Interview with my son, Robin about quilting, Baseball and hiking Half Dome. Robin shares pictures of his quilts.
My son is a pretty amazing teenager, complete with attitude and moxie. We ramble a bit, but I hope you hang in there and listen to the whole interview. He is a young man with something to say.
The Cowboy Dogs Quilt

The Scout Rag Quilt

Just as Robin was advancing from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts, I found these great flannels, Bear, pine needles, canoes and hatchets, etc. to make this rag quilt. I wanted to celebrate his advancement and thought he could use it on the many campouts that he would attend. He hasn’t taken it to one of the them because he doesn’t want to “get it dirty”.
Here is a picture of Robin at a game that they played at the San Jose Giants Muni Stadium. Robin recalls a game winning Grand Salami with Minors player from Moreland Little League.

And here are some cool websites that will give you more information about Yosemite and hiking Half Dome.

Finally, here is a picture of the Boy Wonder with Piper, the Wonder Puppy.

Also notice the lovely quilt in the background…

Sorry, it’s taken so long to send this. This is the only podcast that I’ve saved. Not that I don’t love your podcasts but the one with your son is
so dear. I live in Manhattan and sometimes have very stressful days.
I love to listen to this when I’m walking down 7th during rush hour.
It is so wonderful to hear the love that you have for each other.
What an emotional and wonderful podcast. Love everything about it.
