I was delighted to catch up with Jenny in the Martingale booth and talk with her about her exciting new book, ReSew. It’s all about re-making and repurposing Thrift Shop finds with darling results.
Kirsten nabbed this book when it arrived and claimed it as her own, so Jenny signed a new copy just for a lucky Quilting Stash listener!
Jenny is a cool and savvy young mom with lots of smarts. She has a lot of practical information about sewing without having to add those dreaded zippers and buttonholes.
Personally, I would love to have both of those darling dresses on the cover, ( and well, look like those models too ; )
For a chance to win The autographed copy of Jenny’s book for yourself or an aspiring young sewer, visit Jenny’s blog at www.thewildcards.com and leave a comment about the blog HERE.
Don’t forget to put your name on the top line and your email address on the middle line when you leave a comment, or you’ll get an error message!
I’ll pick the winner on Sunday night, the closing night of Market.
And stay tuned for LOTS more!

I love Jenny’s tutorial on the yarn garland – I’ve made pompoms that way, but not garland.
I LOVE Jenny’s new book! I’ve now subscribed to her blog feed and will go and order the book for my daughter. Once I win, “I WON’T HAVE TO SHARE!”
Jenny is very down to earth, sharing both her creativity with repurposed cloth items and her family. I LOVE her conversations with her boys!
She’s real!
Hi Annie,
Thanks for the interview with Jenny. The interview made me want to run out and go to the nearest thrift store and look for the possibilities of shirts to make dresses combos.
Jenny’s website has a great community project idea about the blue jean bags for shelter kids. Thanks Jenny for sharing your being of service projects on your website and your new book ReSew.
Hi, Annie! Thanks for introducing Jenny. I love her website and might have to head out to the thrift store for some sweaters to felt today. I love those felted wool baskets!
New listener and “Loving” your podcast… I snooped on Jenny’s blog and absolutely LOVE the colorful knitted elephant!!!!
Oh my goodness – I love her blog and the love that just oozes out when writing about her sons. Of course, what she makes and what she finds thrifting is amazing took Such creativity and talent.
I enjoyed seeing all the pictures of her young boys- my boys always napped wherever they got tired too. I once made a portable sewing station bag from old jeans,an Ami Simms pattern. I love the bag- but it was a lot of work. These projects look much more do-able. Also I alway like the idea of making clothes for myself that don’t take do long and fit me. When the materials are cheap to begin with it is more encouraging.

Hi Annie,
I went to Jenny’s blog and couldn’t stop reading the Jackspeak and Charlietalk! Hilarious. I also kind of like that monster on her header, but thought that might be a lame comment (like I just mentioned the first thing I saw on the blog).
Hope you are having fun at Market!
Hi Annie,
When I visited Jenny’s blog I saw the cover of Re Sew & love it. Besides the wonderful projects on the front it also happens to be orange! My favorite color!
I actually remember when you interviewed Jenny about her Box of Baby Quilts. It’s great how she is doing something totally different. I have two thrift shops near me…..I’ll have to pay them a visit soon.

Hi Annie – I’m kinda new here. Thanks for sharing Jenny’s blog with us! What a sweet, creative mama. I loved that basket made from a sweater – I’ll have to make one for sure! (And I like the green monster in the header, too!)
What a great blog! I love the bags made out of denim & the boys will keep me coming back for more.
Thanks for sharing!
I loved Jenny’s blog. Thanks for pointing me to it. It’s in my Google reader now. I like the combination of great sewing stuff with cute kid stories. I don’t stick to one topic in my blog either (even though the ‘experts’ say you should) and I like ones that show so much personality. Now my mind is churning to think up a simple toy I could help make for her shelter project.
Enjoyed this interview very much – Jenny’s blog is cute – especially the stories and photos of her boys – and oh yes – the sewing and quilt related things are great too 🙂
Great interview Annie, I’m a thrift shopper from way back and would love to learn some new tricks on how to re-use clothing.
Cute blog and adorable boys. The one of the little boy with one shoe on, one off and sound asleep on the sofa was great. Can’t wait to take a look at her book. Thanks for the interview and giveaway.
Love her blog. If I do not win the book, I will definitely order a copy.
