I love listening to your podcasts while I do my walk.
The passion podcast was inspiring and makes me want to do more quilting with a purpose.
Hi Annie, A fellow blogger sent me to your site where I was astounded to find you’d visited my blog and mentioned me on your blog and in your podcast. I am very honored! Thank you so very much!
I especially chuckled when you talked about my HSY’s. On the stashbusters list we say any HSY that is more than a year old is a “brazen hussy”. I hate to tell you that mine are all branzen! My reason for listing them is to keep my mind focused on how many kits I’ve already bought so when I’m tempted to buy another kit I will remember this list and stuff my hands in my pockets instead of reaching for my credit card. Many of the kits are from my favorite quilt shop – in Longview, WA – called Momma Made It. I love the way she puts fabrics together.
The scary thing is this – the HSY’s aren’t even in my sewing room! My stash is so huge they won’t fit! Once I deal with all the various UFO’s listed then I’ll move on to the HSY’s. Stay tuned!
And thanks so much again for visiting and mentioning me.
Hi Annie…I was just able to listen to this podcast and it really hit home. I have two “passions”: horses and quilting. Horses came first and I remember telling my 80 yoa aunt that I was obsessed with horses. She corrected me and said I was “passionate” about them. That sounded so much nicer.
My aunt has since passed, so your podcast really reminded me of her. I’m sad to say she passed prior to my quilting passion, so I consoled myself by giving her older sister (who is still alive and whom I correspond with regularly) the second quilt I made.
Thank you for bringing back such happy memories!
