I decided that it’s finally time to empty out my “Treasure Box” to make room for the new treasures that will be sent to me with the advent of Fall Quilt Market. So, in regular style, I’m passing on the goodies and gems to you.
But before we go there, I want to remind you that the Exploring Fabric Choices online class registration has been extended to October 15th. Which means, you have until October 15th to sign up for the most important workshop you will ever take. On October 16th, registration will close and it will go into the Quilting Stash Classroom archives. Don’t delay — you will have 30 days from the day you sign up to complete the workshop, which is usually completed in 2 days.
Here are the rules before we start:
Leave me a comment for each book you desire to win. Do not leave me a comment with a list of books you desire to win — I will delete any comments that has a list of books. I want one comment for one book. You can leave as many comments as you wish. You can win more than once, if I draw your name.
In the comment field, I want to know why you like this book, what inspires you, etc. so I can give that feedback to the Publishers — who want to know!
I will draw the lucky winners on October 19th — so please comment!
Here are the books for the Giveaway:

These next two books, and only these two books, are counted as ONE Giveaway:

and last but not least…

so, good luck! And remember the rules for entering the Giveaway, located at the top of the blog!

Oh Annie, I’m not even done listening to Podcast #212, but when you started talking about “Sew the Perfect Gift” I just had to give it a try. I just added this one to my wish list after reading about it on a blog. I absolutely love every project you mentioned and would love to win it!
Thanks for the great podcasts and giveaways. Okay, back to listening…
Yikes, me again. I started playing with painting quilts and can’t get my hands on enough info so…. “Sew Wild,” yup, love this one too, especially when you mentioned the doodleing and dyes… and the monotype printing… sounds so cool… and stitching, journals, wow, great book.
Hop To It by Edyta Sitar. I love anything Edyta makes and this one has applique!
Hey Annie, hope you’re not getting tired of my comments! I would love, love to have Sharon Pedersons “Rose of Sharon” Book – I have the “Go” dyes and would love to use them along with this book to make her quilt – perhaps with an enphasis on turquoise and orange fabrics?
And of course, how could I not want Kaffe’s “Welcome Home”? His fabrics are one of my favorite and anything he does is just amazing. By the way, I desined a quilt inspired after taking your “Quilter’s Palette” class and used all Kaffe fabrics – will send you a picture. It’s now hanging at our local library. Thanks Annie!
And any one of “Penny Haren’s Applique” Books – especially the “Intricate Blocks” one – I’m trying to challenge myself to improve my skills and I just love, love, love anything applique, whether raw edge, turned or a combination pieced/applique. Have you ever done a podcast on designing, publishing and marketing your own patterns?
“Piece in the Hoop” – ha, I’ve owned an embroidery machine for several years and I’m just now starting to use it, and piecing a quilt on it would be a fun project. Love the cover chickens!!
Love the “Fresh Quilting” – I’m in the process of forming a “modern” quilt guild and looking for anything fresh and modern to entice new members – and this one has some pretty projects!!!
The Art of Elegance – Hand Embroidery… I’ve been collecting silk ribbons, buttons, threads, beads…..for a while and, this book could really help 🙂
Wow! What a fantastic selection 🙂 There are several here that have me smiling! Let’s start with Piece In The Hoop. I have the embroidery module on my Bernina 440 QE and I love it, just don’t play with it nearly enough. This looks like a fun book.
Next on the dream list….Bloom Creek Quilts. This book just grabs me. It’s a combination of the yummy colors and the awesome cat on the cover. My cat, Emmie, is always around when I’m sewing and this cover made me smile.
I love the Kim Diehl book as well. I pretty much love all of Kim’s books. She has some awesome patterns.
I REALLY want the Schnibbles book! It’s on my Christmas list 🙂 I love all things Schnibbles! Fingers crossed!
I would love the Rose of Sharon book! My mom’s name is Sharon and I’ve always wanted to make her a quilt of Rose of Sharon blocks. The cover of this book is so beautiful….
Oh! It just keeps getting better, LOL. I love all things Editya Sitar. I was lucky enough to attend one of her trunk shows a year or so ago. I would love the Hop To It book. Her work combining batiks and other fabrics is just inspiring.
I would like to win the Piece in the Hoop book. I really don’t use my embroidery unit enough & maybe this book will help me use it more.
45 Quilt Blocks Animals looks like a great book for a first time grandma (that would be me!!!).
My grandson is already 8 months old (where does the time go) and I have not made enough things for him yet!
When I saw the cover of Flower Show Quilts I just knew it was the one I would hope to win the most. I love all flowers and anytime I see a quilt with flowers at a quilt show I am always drawn to it. I’d like to win this and start making my own.
I saw Word Play Quilts on a few different blogs recently. I’m a bit of a perfectionist but maybe this book would help me loosen up a bit and have fun! Great reason to want to win, Yes?
OK, so why do I want to win Bloom Creek Quilts? Because I love the quilt on the front cover but…….ok, I have to be honest….that cat is adorable too, lol
QUILTING ON THE GO….
I have always wanted to try the technique but never have. I also think that the quilt on the cover has a modern look to it and I am beginning to like the MODERN STYLE of quilts…. very graphic.
Nonnie
I have the first Penny Haren’S book so any of her other books would be nice to own. I have used her technique to make a baby quilt in the past and I think I would like to try a larger quilt.
Nonnie
ANOTHER BIT OF SCNIBBLES
I have seen the little patterns in the store and they are cute. My GF, who lives in another sttate, keeps talking about Scnibbles and has made several quilts from her books. I would like to see what the fuss is all about.
I have a couple of charm pack waiting to use in one of these quilts.
Nonnie
Gosh it is hard to type in the dark. My 3 year old grandson had a NIGHT DREAM and crawled into bed with me….. now I can not get back to sleep.
Nonnie
Fresh Quilting looks like one of the new MODERN style of quilts I am just beginning to explore. I would love an explanation of color by someone from the Modern Quilt Guild generation. Their color style seems to be fresh and exciting and I would like to learn more.
Nonnie
My grandson would like the 45 Quilt Block Animals…..He just started pre school and this would make a cute nap blanket for school.
Nonnie
.
Heather Thomas book Fiber Artist Guide to Color and Design
was mentioned in the podcast but I did not see it on the book list….
Is that in the give away? Just wondering since it sounded good for the design class I am taking on line.
Nonnie
I would love to win Another Bite of Schnibbles! I love Carrie’s pattern and I love the two different sizes of each quilt her Schnibbles books offers. I’ve made a bunch from the first book and I’d love to have the second! Thanks!
