  9. I am already a follower of Kim’s—-in fact last week I made her charm tote and tissue holder for my purse—so fun. I listened to your podcast today. It was fun to hear Kim’s background with Moda….

  10. The podcast was fun with the bag sounding especially interesting. When I visited her blog, I clicked recipes expecting to find traditional food recipes so was surprised when I realized that the recipes were those using jelly rolls, etc!

  12. Annie,
I am a new quilt podcast listener and I have found your podcast. I enjoy your interviews with some really great quilters.
I am so happy that I can quilt and have the time and ability to get some projects completed.
I feel the Bake Shop is full of great ideas and I like to try new ideas.
I love to make things for my family and friends.
    Thank you for your podcast.

  13. Twenty years ago I made dresses and skirts for myself using quilting cottons and wore them mostly for contra dancing. They had rather full skirts and I inserted pennies into the hems to make them twirl–guys love contra dancing with a woman whose dress twirls. I didn’t know about official dress weights back then! I wore them out and cut them up for a baby quilt when my dancing days were over. My daughter is now 12 and loves to hear about what the dresses of which her baby quilt is made looked like. I will just second the author’s point regarding topstitching.
